Notification Issued For Local Bodies Polls: Nagi

Polls to be held on May 6, 10, 14, results on 27

Hyderabad, April 20 (Maxim News): State election commission issued a notification for conducting elections for local bodies of ZPTCs and MPTCs in Telangana.

State Election Commissioner Nagi Reddy told media persons that the polls for the local bodies will be held in three phases as per the notification. The votes of the polls will be counted on May 27 and announce the results of the ZPTC and MPTC polls. He said that the schedule of the polls was decided to hold the polls on May 6, 10 and 14 respectively. As many as 538 ZPTCs and 5,817 MPTCs will go for polls in 32 districts Nagi Reddy said. The election commission has made elaborate arrangements for these polls in the districts and mandals he said. The state election commissioner also said that polls will be held in smooth and peaceful manner with adequate staff and police personnel.

According to information the first phase of polls will be held in 212 ZPTCs and 2365 MPTCs, second phase in 199 ZPTCs, 2109 MPTCs and third phase 124 ZPTCs and 1343 MPTCs respectively. (Maxim News)
