Nov. 30 Declared as Public Holiday in Telangana

Hyderabad, November 16 (Maxim News): In preparation for the upcoming Telangana Assembly elections, the state government has officially designated November 30 as a public holiday for all state employees and workers. This decision aims to encourage active participation in the electoral process by ensuring that eligible voters have ample time to cast their ballots.

The state’s labor department has issued an order declaring November 30 a paid holiday and mandating the closure of factories, businesses, and industries across Telangana on this day. This measure is intended to provide voters with the flexibility to exercise their democratic right without any work-related constraints.

The upcoming Assembly elections will involve voting for 119 assembly constituencies spread across 33 districts in Telangana. The electoral process will culminate in the counting of votes on December 3. (Maxim News)
