Hyderabad, Nov 2 (Maxim News): There is no need to rush to Aadhar Seva kendras for changes and additions in Aadhaar, which is used for multiple purposes. There is no need to take a token and stand in a queue.
Now, the unique identification Authority of India (UIDAI) has made it more convenient for people to complete the entire correction process online from home on the website.
The Aadhaar update process digitally verifies the information provided by the users along with government documents like PAN cards, passports, driving licenses, ration cards. This speeds up the update process and ensures a faster completion. Citizens can update their key information like name, address, date of birth, mobile number online. In fact, there is a digital facility for Aadhaar update, but, not all types of updates can be done online.
Details like address can be updated online through the UIDAI portal or the My Aadhaar app. But to change biometric details like photo, fingerprints, Iris, one must visit an Aadhaar enrolment center.
If you have any proof of identity or address, you can update the address online using the portal or My Aadhaar app. Identity and address proof documents can be uploaded online for free till June 14, 2026.
Mobile numbers must be registered with Aadhaar to use online services. There is an option to update biometric details like photo, fingerprints, and Iris only by visiting the Aadhaar Enrollment and Update Center. (Maxim News)
