Congress Govt Became ‘Bhasmasura Hastam’ For Telangana: Ramchander Rao

  • BJP State chief slams Congress over fulfilment of poll promises and governance
  • Ramchandra Rao highlights failures in fee reimbursement, healthcare, and farm waivers

Marking nearly two years of Congress rule in Telangana, BJP State president N. Ramchandra Rao has launched a scathing critique against the government, accusing it of inefficiency, unfulfilled promises, and eroding public trust. Addressing the media at the BJP state office, Rao released a comprehensive charge sheet highlighting what he called the Congress regime’s “ Bhasmasura Hastam”—a reference to a destructive hand—for the people of Telangana.

Rao questioned the credibility of Congress leadership, asking, “With what face is the Congress going back to the people?” He asserted that not a single promise from the 2023 election manifesto has materialized. The charge sheet pointed out that students in the state are suffering from stalled fee reimbursement, which is threatening academic futures. In the health sector, hospitals under the Arogyasri scheme are reportedly struggling due to unpaid government dues, affecting care for patients. Farmers remain uncertain after being promised crop loan waivers that have not been honored.

Citing widespread student protests demanding scooties, Rao criticized the government’s inability to meet even basic expectations. “They promised free scooties to female students, but today they can’t even provide bicycles,” he said. The BJP also accused the Congress of using the BC declaration in Kamareddy as a mere tactic for attracting votes, failing to deliver any meaningful benefits to backward communities.

Rao denounced Chief Minister Revanth Reddy for making “irresponsible” comments, especially about the Pahalgam tragedy. “Such remarks insult the sacrifice of soldiers and the pride of Telangana,” Rao remarked, calling for an apology from Congress leaders. He asserted that national security and the dignity of martyrs must not be exploited for politics.

The BJP’s charge sheet also condemned the Congress for resorting to appeasement politics and vote-bank schemes instead of focusing on development, peace, and public welfare. Rao accused the Chief Minister of acting as “Revanthuddin” and adopting Pakistan’s anti-India narrative. In conclusion, Rao said, “We are placing the truth before the people of Telangana. The Congress must answer for its performance and failures.”
