One Killed In NH 65 Sangareddy Crash

A fatal road accident occurred on National Highway 65 in Kavalampet, Kandi mandal of Sangareddy district on Sunday morning, leaving one person dead and six others injured. According to officials, the mishap took place when an SUV carrying passengers rammed into a Telangana State Road Transport Corporation (RTC) bus.

The deceased was identified as Balaiah, aged 45. Among the injured were Pravin, Fareed, Sitaram, Kalappa, and two others whose identities were not immediately available. All the injured were rushed to the government hospital in Sangareddy for treatment. Police sources said the condition of a couple of the victims is critical and they remain under observation.

Investigating officers registered a case and began inquiries to determine the cause of the collision. Preliminary details suggest that the SUV was traveling at high speed before hitting the RTC bus, but authorities have not officially confirmed this. The damaged vehicles caused temporary traffic disruption on the busy Hyderabad-Pune route before being cleared by local police.

Meanwhile, police appealed to motorists to follow road safety norms and drive cautiously, especially on national highways that see heavy traffic movement during morning hours. Road accidents on this stretch of NH 65 have been reported frequently, highlighting the need for better enforcement and public awareness to prevent such tragedies.

Officials said further details about the condition of the injured and the sequence of events leading to the accident will be revealed after completing the investigation. The Sangareddy police assured that appropriate legal action will follow based on the investigation findings.
