Jammu and kashmir/Hyderabad, April 21 (Maxim News): The terror attack in Pahalgam, Anantnag district, has created a sensation all over the world. In this attack, 25 tourists, including a local, lost their lives. With this, India launched Operation Sindoor and sent a strong message to Pakistan. It launched a surgical strike and killed more than 100 hardened terrorists on Pakistani soil. It also killed all those who carried out this attack in the name of Operation Mahadev.
It will be exactly one year since the Pahalgam terror attack tomorrow (22-04-2026). On this occasion, the Indian Army gave a powerful message reflecting determination and unity. ‘When the limits of humanity are crossed, the response will be decisive. Justice will be done. India stands united,’ it tweeted.
On April 22, 2025, tourists were enjoying the Baisaran pastures, known as Mini Switzerland, near Pahalgam in Anantnag district. Three terrorists opened fire on them. They shot everyone they caught, regardless of whether they were young or old. A local who tried to stop them was also killed. A total of 26 people fled from there after taking their lives. The incident shocked many countries, including India. Many countries condemned Pakistan’s terrorist act. As a result, authorities closed about 44 tourist spots across Jammu and Kashmir. After that, India launched Operation Sindoor against Pakistan. Finally, Pakistan came to an agreement to stop the attacks. However, although many tourist spots across Jammu and Kashmir have reopened, the tourist spots of Baisaran and Chandanwari are still closed.
As the Pahalgam terror attack is approaching a year, Jammu and Kashmir authorities, police and security forces have been put on alert. Security has been tightened across Kashmir. Security has been tightened without creating any panic among the people. To this end, officials are holding security meetings in several districts. Pulwama Deputy Inspector General Javed Iqbal Mattoo conducted a comprehensive review of security. Senior Superintendent of Police G.V. Sandeep Chakraborty also conducted reviews on maintaining law and order and eliminating terrorist activities in Awantipora and Srinagar. (Maxim News)
