Operation Musi: HYDRA Begins Demolition Of Houses In Old City

Hyderabad, Oct 1 (Maxim News): HYDRA officials have started demolishing the houses of Musi residents in the old city. The authorities are demolishing the voluntarily constructed houses in Basti of Balakpet constituency.

The families in Basti were evacuated early by the authorities and moved to double-bedroom houses in the locality. Special vehicles have also been formed to transport the belongings of the evacuees. Demolitions were carried out in ChaderghatRasoolpura, and Vinayak Nagar slums in the Malakpet constituency. As the bases are small, they are being demolished by laborers and not by JCBs. The demolition is taking place amid heavy police security.

Meanwhile, there’s a lot of tension in Musheerabad, Hyderabad. Congress leaders stopped KTR who was going to show support to those who were protesting along with observing the ongoing demolitions at Musi River.  (Maxim News)
