PM Modi Inaugurated The Namo Bharat Corridor
Delhi/Hyderabad, Jan 5 (Maxim News): Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated a 13 km long additional section of the Delhi-Meerut Namo Bharat Corridor between Sahibabad and New Ashok Nagar on Sunday morning. Prime Minister Modi reached Sahibabad from Hindon Airbase at 11.30 am. In that order, the Prime Minister traveled in the Namo Bharat train from Sahibabad RRTS station to New Ashok Nagar RRTS station.

While traveling on the train, Prime Minister Narendra Modi interacted with the school students on board. He asked various questions, including about children’s education.
With the commencement of operations in this section, Meerut City will now be directly connected to the national capital Delhi through Namo Bharat. This will reduce travel time. Passengers can travel from New Ashok Nagar to Meerut South in just 40 minutes. This project will make travel between Delhi and Meerut more convenient. It will also increase trade and tourism between the two cities. With this, you can travel to Meerut for just Rs. 150 from January 5 evening from 5 pm, Namo Bharat trains will be available to the public with a frequency of 15 minutes. The fare from New Ashok Nagar station to Meerut South has been fixed at Rs. 150 for standard coach and Rs. 225 for premium coach.
Prime Minister Modi traveled in the NaMo Bharat train between Sahibabad RRTS station and New Ashok Nagar RRTS station. Out of a total of 11 stations, a 42 km corridor with 9 stations is currently operational between Sahibabad and Meerut South. With this inauguration, the operational section of the NaMo Bharat corridor with a total of 11 stations has increased to 55 km. On this new 13 km section that was inaugurated today, 6 km is underground. It also includes Anand Vihar station. This is the first time that Namo Bharat trains are running in the underground section. The second station in this section is the new Ashok Nagar. Both these stations are in Delhi.
This project aims to make travel easier for passengers. The NaMo Bharat project has given priority to multi-modal integration. This project has been prepared under the PM Gati Shakti-National Master Plan. In every coach of Namo Bharat, not only are seats reserved for women, the elderly, and the disabled, but the entire coach is also reserved for women. At the same time, there is a separate space for wheelchairs and stretchers in Namo Bharat trains. The Namo Bharat project has been designed keeping in mind the comfort of passengers. Under this project, all kinds of facilities have been provided to the passengers.

This new connectivity will directly benefit lakhs of commuters. Prime Minister Modi also inaugurated a 2.8 km stretch between Janakpuri and Krishna Park in Delhi metro Phase-IV at a cost of about Rs. 1200 crore. This is the first section of Delhi Metro Phase-IV. Its inauguration will further expand the Delhi Metro network. This inauguration will greatly benefit areas like Krishna Park, Vikaspuri, and Janakpuri in West Delhi.
Along with this, the foundation stone of the 26.5 km long Rithala-kundli section under Delhi Metro Phase-IV at a cost of about Rs. 6230 crore was laid. This new corridor will be built to connect Rithala in Delhi to Kundli in Haryana. It will improve connectivity between the north-western regions of Delhi and Haryana. (Maxim News)
