Hyderabad, April 14: Prime Minister Narendra Modi paid tribute to B R Ambedkar on his birth anniversary at Prerana Sthal in Parliament premises. He said Ambedkar’s ideals will continue to inspire a progressive society.
Vice President C P Radhakrishnan and Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla also paid tribute at the site. Congress president Mallikarjun Kharge joined the tribute ceremony.

During the event, Narendra Modi and Mallikarjun Kharge interacted briefly. They posed for a photograph and exchanged a few words. Modi was seen leaving the venue smiling after the interaction.
Earlier in the day, Narendra Modi shared a message on X. He said he was paying homage to Ambedkar on his birth anniversary. He added that Ambedkar’s contribution to nation building remains deeply inspiring.
He further stated that Ambedkar’s life continues to guide efforts towards building a progressive society. Leaders across parties marked the occasion with tributes at the Parliament complex.
