Hyderabad, April 14 (Maxim News): The work of the high speed bullet train corridor with Shamshabad as its center will soon be completed. Railway officials have identified 650 acres in Bahadurguda in Shamshabad mandal for this project that will connect major cities of the country. This area will be developed as the largest high-speed rail hub in the country. These high-speed trains will run between Hyderabad, Bangalore, Chennai and Pune. The Center announced three high-speed trains for Telangana in the Railway Budget announced last February.
While railway officials said that these will also run from Hyderabad as the hub, South Central Railway GM Sanjay Kumar Srivastava also revealed that they will be set up in Shamshabad. In this regard, officials conducting land surveys have identified 650 acres in Bahadurguda in Shamshabad mandal. The high-speed trains announced by the Center will run from here. With this, Shamshabad will develop into the largest railway hub in the country and the only high-speed corridor connecting major cities.
Experts say that with the arrival of this project, local transport will be developed in Shamshabad and surrounding areas, and there is a possibility of large-scale industrial development. Shamshabad, which is already one of the most expensive areas in the country with its international airport, has once again become a hot topic with the recent establishment of a high-speed rail hub.
The high-speed rail corridor will be built at a cost of Rs. 48,000 crore, officials said. Officials said that the DPR for the Hyderabad-Bengaluru and Hyderabad-Chennai corridors will be prepared as soon as the land selection process is completed. Later, the DPR for the Hyderabad-Pune corridor will be ready in 2027-28.
Bullet Trains
Currently, it takes 8 to 10 hours to travel from Hyderabad to Bangalore, 10 to 11 hours to travel to Pune, and 8 to 9 hours to travel to Chennai. If high-speed trains are made available for the three corridors, it will take only 2 hours to travel from Hyderabad to Bangalore, 2.55 hours to travel to Chennai, and 1.55 hours to travel to Pune.
Officials say that this will save 6 to 7 hours of travel time. With this, anyone can travel to any of the three cities in a single working day in the shortest possible time. The government hopes that various national and international companies will also come forward to invest in the city due to easy and speedy connectivity. (Maxim News)
