The Chief Secretary emphasized the urgency of crop diversification to mitigate severe El Nino weather patterns. He directed agricultural teams to conduct ground-level awareness drives encouraging farmers to switch to low-water-consuming crops.

The alternative strategy prioritizes pulses, oilseeds, vegetables, and horticultural produce to safeguard farm incomes against erratic rainfall. Furthermore, collectors were asked to monitor local weather parameters continuously and implement immediate relief interventions where necessary.

Telangana Tourism 2047 Policy Targets Special Destination Hubs

Reviewing the upcoming NEET PG entrance examination scheduled for August 30, the Chief Secretary instructed authorities to enforce strict security protocols.

The national exam will take place across thirty-three designated centers across Hyderabad, Medchal-Malkajgiri, Ranga Reddy, and other rural districts. Collectors must coordinate with local police and power distribution utilities to ensure uninterrupted electricity, safe drinking water, and smooth transport logistics for all candidates.

Additionally, the state administration outlined strategic measures under the Telangana Tourism 2047 policy framework.

The government identified twenty-seven Special Tourism Areas to attract domestic and international travelers through targeted infrastructure upgrades. Officials will formulate specialized development roadmaps focusing on spiritual, heritage, eco-tourism, and traditional craft circuits to enhance the state’s global brand presence.
