Hyderabad, April 14: An Assistant Sub Inspector died after being hit by a police vehicle in Sangareddy district. The incident occurred under the Manur police station limits while he was on duty.
According to police, ASI Govind Nayak was performing duty when the vehicle struck him. The vehicle was driven by Home Guard Rama Rao. He reportedly lost control and hit the officer.

The impact caused severe injuries to the ASI. Therefore, colleagues rushed him to a hospital in Narayankhed. However, he died during treatment as his condition worsened.
Meanwhile, the family of the deceased made serious allegations. They claimed the act was intentional due to past enmity. They alleged that the vehicle was used deliberately to target him.
After the incident, the driver fled the spot. Police registered a case and launched a search for the accused. The incident occurred in front of the Manur police station.
