Hyderabad, April 14: A newborn baby girl was found abandoned beside railway tracks in Nampally on Monday evening. The infant was discovered between Lakdikapul and Khairatabad railway stations.
According to police, locals spotted the baby under a bridge along the tracks. They alerted authorities immediately after noticing the abandoned infant. Unidentified persons reportedly left the baby and fled the spot.

The Nampally Railway Police reached the location soon after receiving the alert. They found the baby wrapped in a light yellow towel. Officials estimated the infant to be around 15 days old.
The police shifted the baby to Niloufer Hospital for medical care. Doctors confirmed that the baby girl is stable. Officials described her condition as satisfactory.
Meanwhile, police have launched an investigation into the incident. They are trying to trace the parents and identify those responsible. Authorities are also checking recent birth records at nearby health centres.
