Hyderabad, June 14: Police busted an alleged marijuana distribution network operating under the guise of a grocery business in Nanakramguda within Hyderabad’s IT corridor and arrested an auto driver during a joint operation.
The raid was carried out by the Madhapur narcotics team and local police after receiving information about the transportation of contraband.
Officials said around 26 kilograms of suspected high quality ganja was recovered from an auto allegedly linked to the operation. The estimated value of the seized contraband is about Rs 26 lakh.
Joint Raid Targets Alleged Drug Supply Network
Police arrested the auto driver during the operation and seized both the vehicle and the recovered material.
Authorities stated that the seized items were handed over to the Gachibowli police station for further investigation and legal action.
According to officials, the alleged key accused, identified as Neethubai, is currently absconding.
Police said efforts are underway to trace and apprehend others who may be connected to the alleged supply network.
