Srinagar, July 22: A police personnel was injured after suspected terrorists opened fire on a police party in Anantnag, Jammu and Kashmir, on Wednesday, officials said.
The incident occurred at around 12:30 pm near Lal Chowk in Anantnag.
According to officials, a head constable who was on duty sustained injuries in the firing and was immediately shifted to the Government Medical College Hospital in Anantnag for treatment.
Following the attack, security forces cordoned off the area and launched a search operation to trace the assailants.
