Hyderabad, Sept.29 (Maxim News): TPCC vice-president Ponnam Prabhakar on Sunday alleged that the Mid-Manair project, heart of the Kaleswaram lift irrigation project, was limited to just four tmc as against its actual capacity of 26 tmc.
Speaking to mediapersons here, Ponnam alleged that the State government was releasing the Yellampally project water into the ocean instead of Mid-Manair and lower Manair dam and asked the State government to reveal its stand on the issue. He also said the Congress party was ready to hold an open debate on the issue. Alleging that the State government had not given even a rupee to the land oustees of the mid-Manair project, he alleged that CM KCR family members got compensation for losing their lands.
Commenting on Huzurnagar Assembly election, Ponnam said victory of the Congress was need of the hour. He alleged that if the ruling party won the seat, its arrogance would increase. He appealed to the constituents of Huzurnagar to teach a lesson to the TRS by electing Congress candidate Padmavathi Reddy in the by-election. (Maxim News)
