Hyderabad, Dec.24 (Maxim News): Education Minister P Sabitha Indra Reddy today assured that the problems of the Contract lecturers will be addressed by the government. A delegation of the state contract lecturers of Junior colleges have called on the minister at her office here. They complained that some vested interests are trying to come in the way of their transfers.
Despite state government accepting to transfer them no guidelines are released so far they explained. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has agreed to transfer them one month ago and the decision is yet to be implemented. No guidelines were released in this regard, they bemoaned. The lecturers sought that the government should release guidelines on the transfers and ensure they settle.
The minister discussed the problems pertaining to the lecturers and assured them of taking necessary action. The lecturers should discharge duties to ensure that the students excel in their endeavors and get good name to the government, she said. The government is committed to strengthen the education system and will fix the issues of the contract lecturers, the minister said. I will take the issues to the notice of chief minister K Chandrasekher Rao to address these issues, Sabitha Indra Reddy said.
They expressed displeasure that their issues of transfers and better salaries are not yet addressed. The government has taken decision to make transfers of the lecturers and no steps have been taken in this regard, the deplored. Those who met the minister include President G Venkanna, General Secretary Kumar, Govardhan and Chandramauli and others. (Maxim News)
