Property Tax Worth Rs. 900.93 Crore Collected In Early Bird Scheme

Hyderabad: The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) has collected a record Rs. 900.93 crore in property tax under the Early Bird scheme. Last year, the civic body had collected Rs. 831.23 crore.

The government has announced a 5 per cent concession on the tax amount if the property tax for the financial year 2025-26 was paid by April 30.

This year, the Early Bird scheme has been used by institutions, offices and individuals who pay a large amount of property tax. In this financial year, 7,93,552 people have used the scheme.

Due to the continuous review of the Deputy Commissioners on the Early Bird scheme, teleconferences and extensive publicity through various publicity tools, a higher amount of tax has been collected than last year, the GHMC said in a press release.

Property Tax- Early Bird Scheme:

2023-24 : Rs. 785.94 crore

2024-25 : Rs. 831.23 crore

2025-26 : Rs. 900.93 crore
