Protect Old Mosques, Temple In Seceretariat: Shabbir Urges CM
Hyderabad, June 27 (Maxim News): Congress senior leader Mohammed Ali Shabbir demanded that the Telangana Government ensure that no damage was done to old places of worship on the Secretariat premises.
In an open letter to Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao, Shabbir Ali bemoaned that the Chief Minister has taken a unilateral decision on the construction of new building for Secretariat without involving other Opposition parties or groups. Stating that three places of worship — two mosques and a temple — are there on the Secretariat premises, Shabbir Ali pleaded with the Chief Minister not to raze the three places of worship to the ground to facilitate construction of new Secretariat building. Shabbir Ali said.
Shabbir Ali urged CM KCR to issue necessary instructions to the officials concerned to ensure that two mosques and a temple in the Secretariat remain untouched even if other structures are razed to construct new ones. (Maxim News)
