Hyderabad, Jan.8 (Maxim News): Rachakonda Police today arrested a notorious gang of cyber criminals. Revealing the details of the gang members, the Rachakonda police commissioner Mahesh Bhagawath said that the gang members were operating from Delhi and cheating gullible people of the country and state.
He said that the gang members would create fake profiles on social Media and send friend requests to their targets. He added that the accused then begin to chat like a girl with a boy and boy with a girl. He said that a resident of Hyderabad got a request in the fake name of Sofia and added that the victim got another message from the accused stating that she was coming to Hyderabad for him from Delhi.
After befriending the victim, The accused later prompted him to deposit money in their bank accounts. The CP said that the gang members stays at one place and carry out their criminal activities. He said that they had arrested five people in the case and added that they would also invoke PD Act against them. He also said that the accused were cheating the people through their app Ding Tone. He said that the accused were leading a luxurious life in Delhi with the money of the victims. The CP urged the residents of the city to not accept the friend requests of unknown people and strangers. (Maxim News)
