Rahul’s Visit Utter Flop: Nagender

Hyderabad, Aug.14 (Maxim News): Former minister, who recently joined the ruling TRS party from the Congress Danam Nagender today said AICC chief Rahul Gandhi’s Telangana visit was an utter flop. He alleged the State Congress leaders hired people from outside.

Addressing the media at Telangana Bhavan here, Nagender took potshots at the Congress party for making accusations against the State government. Danam Nagender ridiculed the Congress party for frequently making “family rule” jibe at the TRS like a kettle calling pot black. He also alleged that the State government was involved in corruption and irregularities. He also excoriated Congress leaders for making family rule comments against Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao.

The former minister said the Congress leaders hired people and brought them to Rahul Gandhi’s public meeting on Monday. He wondered whether any one would vote for the Congress in next elections by seeing the faces of its leaders. Nagender said Rahul Gandhi never spoke in Parliament about Telangana State and did not talk of bifurcation of the High Court and keeping the promises of AP Reorganisation Act.

Alleging that the backward classes and masses were ignored during the Congress rule, he said Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao was working with an aim for the progress and development of all sections. There was no content in what Rahul Gandhi said about social justice lacking in the State, he said. He also said KCR was trying to transform Hyderabad into a Global City in the near future. Nagender hoped that Seemandra people are with the Chief Minister KCR and will support him. The TRS will retain power in the next elections and the Congress would bite the dust, he added.
