Rahul Gandhi An Immature Politician: Laxman

Hyderabad, Aug.14 (Maxim News): Terming Congress president Rahul Gandhi as an “Immature politician”, Telangana BJP president Dr K Laxman today alleged that the former was leveling baseless allegations against Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who was striving for welfare of all sections of people in the country.

Addressing mediapersons at party office here, Laxman said Rahul Gandhi was talking in frustration in fear of defeat and leveling baseless charges on the Modi government. The Congress president wanted to create confusion in the minds of the people by his unwanted and false allegations by raising Rafale aircraft issue. The people of Telangana will not believe the promises of Rahul Gandhi and the Congress party would vanish in Telangana State, Laxman said.

Stating that Defence Minister Nirmala Seetharaman has already clarified on the Rafale deal in Parliament, the State BJP chief said the Congress, which was involved in a number of scams during UPA-I and II regimes at the Centre, now wants to throw mud on the Modi government just to wash its ‘Hand’ from all these scams. But people of the country never forget the misrule and corruption of the Congress government.

“The Modi government is transparent and there was not a single incident of corruption. But now, the Congress was indulging in leveling baseless allegations in frustration for fear of defeat in the coming elections”, Laxman said. He also demanded that Rahul Gandhi clarify his party’s stand on the NRC published in Assam and triple talaq issue instead of adopting double standards on these issues.

Reacting to the reports of Rahul Gandhi visiting martyrs memorial to pay homage, Laxman demanded that Rahul first apologize to the people of Telangana before visiting the memorial as it was former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, who had crushed the Telangana movement during 1969 when over 369 people sacrificed their lives for the separate State. Even during the previous UPA government led by Congress party, over 1,400 people sacrificed their lives, he added.

The State BJP chief said Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao deceived Dalits by not making a Dalit as chief minister as he had promised. Replying to a query, the BJP leader said the people of the country are in favour of “one country one election” theory. On the issue of Swami Paripoornananda, Laxman said the stay order of High Court was a slap on the face of the KCR government which had expelled the swamiji from the city.(Maxim News)
