Chandigarh/Hyderabad, April 28 (Maxim News): A railway track blast took place near Patiala in Punjab. However, a person tried to detonate the bomb and died while trying to operate the bomb, a senior police officer said. The police have released some details about the person who tried to blow up the railway track. The blast took place near the railway track near Boronia village on the Shambhu-Rajpura route. However, the body parts of a person were found lying scattered there. Patiala SSP Varun Sharma said that he must have died during the bomb explosion.
Repair work is currently being done on the Shambhu-Ambala railway track. The person who died in the bomb blast has been identified as Jagarup Singh. He is suspected to be from Taran Taran. Police said that the investigation revealed that the accused operator also blew himself up after blowing up the railway track. The incident took place at 10 pm on Monday. The railway track was slightly damaged due to the blast. Some trains were diverted. The SP said that initially it was thought that a low-intensity bomb had exploded, but the accused also blew himself up while trying to detonate it.
They said that a SIM card was recovered from the spot. Based on this, the police said that a technical investigation has been started. The police said that they will crack the conspiracy behind this incident. The CRPF and RPF are investigating this case. An explosion took place on the railway track in Fatehgarh Sahib district in January. It is known that the engine was destroyed in that incident and the loco pilot was injured. (Maxim News)
