Ravula Seeks White Paper On State’s Fiscal Status

Hyderabad, May 22 (Maxim News): Telangana TDP politburo member Ravula Chandrasekhar Reddy demanded that State government release a white paper on issue of financial status of State. He asked the State government as to what forced the government to take huge loans during the last five years. He also said Principal Secretary of Finance Department Ramakrishna Rao has publicly admitted about the fact that the State government had availed loans to run the day-to-day affairs of the State government.

Addressing mediapersons at NTR trust bhavan here today, Ravula said the Principal Secretary had admitted several facts what the Opposition parties were talking about since the last five years. He said while the total debt availed by the State government as on June 2014 stood at Rs 60,000 crore, the State government had taken Rs 1.8 lakh crore during the last five years. He also said the loans availed by the State government for implementing programs like Mission Bhageeratha and Mission Kakatiya were in addition to what the State government had taken. (Maxim News)
