Refresher Course in Political Science & Public Administration concludes at MANUU

Hyderabad: ‘Learn and pass it on to students. There are disruptive technologies but harness them, and use this opportunity to refresh yourself intellectually’ said Prof. B.V. Muralidhar, Department of Political Science and Public Administration, Sri Venkateswara University, Tirupathi, Andhra Pradesh today in the valedictory session of Refresher course in Political Science & Public Administration organized by UGC-Human Resource Development Centre (UGC-HRDC), Maulana Azad National Urdu University. The programme commenced from August 08.

Earlier, Prof. Afroz Alam, Head, Department of Political Science said ‘refresher courses are invigorating for the body and the mind. They’re breaks that academicians need in order to catch up with what is happening in their field of expertise, more so when the lectures are delivered live,’ he added.

Prof. Saneem Fatima, Director, UGC-HRDC pointed that there were many more short-term courses in the pipeline and they were to be organized in the offline mode.

The two-weeks Refresher course had participants from Telangana, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Kerala, West Bengal and Sikkim and resource persons were invited from University of Hyderabad, Osmania University, Jawaharlal Nehru University, Tata Institute of Social Sciences.

The participants – Dr. Bhim Bahadur Subba, Assistant Professor, Department of Political Science, University of Hyderabad and Dr. Andem Madhu Sudhan Reddy, Assistant Professor, Kakatiya Government Degree College shared their views.

MANUU awards PhD to Rabia Tahseen

Maulana Azad National Urdu University (MANUU) has declared Ms. Rabia Tahseen, D/o Mr. Mohd. Tajuddin qualified in Doctor of Philosophy in Zoology. She worked on the topic “Role of Genetic Variants of Forkhead Box P3 Gene (3 UTR) in Bronchial Asthma: A South Indian Study” under the supervision of Prof. Parveen Jahan, Zoology Section, MANUU and co-supervision of Dr. Sravan Kumar G, Government & General Chest Hospital, Erragadda, Hyderabad. The viva-voce was held on 27th July 2023.
