Hyderabad, May 26: Global biotechnology company Regeneron Pharmaceuticals will establish a new Global Capability Center in Hyderabad, further strengthening Telangana’s position as a major technology and life sciences hub.
Representatives of Regeneron met Telangana Industries Minister Duddilla Sridhar Babu in Hyderabad on Tuesday and signed an agreement for the project.
Officials said Hyderabad has been selected as the company’s first Global Capability Center outside the United States.
Hyderabad Strengthens GCC Ecosystem
According to the government, the Regeneron GCC will provide services related to clinical trials, artificial intelligence and data science.
With the latest addition, the total number of Global Capability Centers operating in Telangana is expected to reach 450.
Officials stated that Hyderabad has emerged as the second largest GCC hub in India due to rapid growth in technology, biotech and life sciences sectors.
The state government said the expansion of Genome Valley and the proposed Green Pharma City have helped attract new investments into Telangana.
The upcoming GCC is expected to create significant employment opportunities in technology, research and life sciences sectors.
The government also noted that Regeneron’s investment would further strengthen Hyderabad’s growing reputation as a destination for biotechnology and AI based industries.
