Revanth Lodges complaint With EC Against Police

Hyderabad, Oct.19 (Maxim News): TPCC president A. Revanth Reddy today lodged a complaint with Election Commission of India (EC) against the police. He lodged a complaint along with a woman by name Nirosha.

Reddy submitted his complaint to the chief electoral officer of the state Shashank Goel in the city. In his complaint he alleged that the ruling TRS party leaders were misusing power in the ongoing Huzurabad by-elections campaign.

He also alleged that the TRS party leaders and police had attacked Nirosha when she asked them about jobs in a meeting attended by state finance minister T. Harish Rao.

He said that their party candidate B. Venkat Rao was also attacked by the TRS party leaders for exposing the failures of the state government.

Speaking to media persons later, Revanth alleged that state Minister Harish Rao and BJP candidate Etela Rajender had violated all kinds of rules in their election campaign and added that the duo had turned the Huzurabad by-elections into the most expensive by-elections in the entire country.

He alleged that the duo were engaging in a verbal duel as they had differences over the distribution of money to voters.

Commenting on the halting of Dalitha bandhu scheme by the EC, he claimed that both the TRS and the BJP had ensured the suspension of the implementation of the scheme.

He urged the people of Huzurabad constituency to vote for their party candidate and ensure his victory while reminding them that the people of Huzurnagar and Dubbaka assembly constituencies had already given an opportunity to represent them to the TRS and the BJP. (Maxim News)
