Revanth Reddy said the Centre lacks sincerity in implementing women reservation and uses major policy issues for political gain.

Speaking during a media chit chat, Revanth Reddy said women reservation can be implemented easily if there is genuine intent. However, he questioned why the BJP takes decisions behind closed doors and later seeks support from opposition parties.

CM Revanth Reddy said introducing a bill without the required two thirds majority shows political opportunism. He also urged the BJP to stop what he called diversionary politics. Further, he challenged the party to treat the upcoming elections in five states as a referendum on women reservation.

Revanth Reddy Targets BJP and BRS

Referring to Ayodhya politics, the Chief Minister said even Lord Ram rejected the BJP. He cited the party’s defeat in Ayodhya constituency, where the Samajwadi Party won, as proof of public sentiment.

On delimitation, Revanth Reddy said the Centre has no right to punish well performing states. He demanded that constituency reorganisation should not rely only on population figures. Instead, he proposed that 50 percent weightage should be given to merit and development indicators.

He also targeted the BRS leadership. Responding to comments from party leaders, he said former Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao must first answer questions being raised by MLC Kavitha.

Revanth Reddy challenged KCR to swear before the deity he believes in and declare that he will never align with the BJP.

CM Revanth Reddy also defended Congress MPs Mallu Ravi, Kadiyam Kavya, and Chamala Kiran against criticism from BRS leaders. He said Congress representatives are raising public issues strongly, but opponents are ignoring their voice.

The Chief Minister said Congress will strongly oppose any move that weakens the rights of states through constitutional amendments or election reforms. He asserted that federal values and democratic consultation must be protected at all costs. (Maxim News)
