Osmania University | Hyderabad, April 27 (Maxim News) : Osmania University has initiated talks with delegates from Tashkent University of Human Sciences, Uzbekistan, to sign a Memorandum of Understanding aimed at expanding academic collaboration and global learning opportunities.
The meeting was organised by the Office of International Affairs at Osmania University on Monday. Prof. B. Vijaya, Director of the Office of International Affairs, chaired the discussions.
A delegation from Uzbekistan, led by Rector Saburov Jumanazar, attended the meeting. Feruzbek from the Embassy also participated. From Osmania University, Dr. Akhtar Ali, Joint Director of Admissions, and Dr. M. A. Hameed, Joint Director of the Office of International Affairs, were present.
During the interaction, Osmania University highlighted its academic profile, which includes 12 faculties and 56 departments across multiple disciplines. University officials presented the institution’s strengths in teaching, research, and student development.

The proposed agreement focuses on several collaborative initiatives. These include online teaching support from Osmania University faculty, short term academic visits ranging from 15 days to one month, and structured field experience programmes for students.
In addition, the proposal includes flexible study pathways. Students may complete part of their education abroad through hybrid or online learning models. Officials said such measures would help students gain international exposure while continuing their academic progress.
Both institutions expressed interest in building a long term partnership. They also discussed future exchange programmes, joint academic activities, and research cooperation.
The meeting concluded with a shared commitment to formalise the Osmania University Tashkent University MoU in the coming months. Officials said the partnership would create new opportunities for students and faculty members from both sides.
Osmania University has been expanding its international outreach through academic tie ups with foreign institutions. The latest move is expected to strengthen its presence in Central Asia and improve cross border educational collaboration. (Maxim News)
