Rs 90 cr for Development of Temples during Bonalu: Talasani

Hyderabad, July 12 (Maxim News): Bonalu festival is being conducted on a grand note in the state, Minister for Animal Husbandry and Cinematography Talasani Srinivas Yadav said today. The government offers Rs 15 crores for the festivities and Rs 90 cr for development of various temples, the minister stated.

During a meeting at Salarjung Museum with the officials concerned in the city the minister reviewed the Bonalu festival to be held in the old city on August 1. He instructed them to make better arrangements for the devotees coming to temples.

The state government is offering 15 crores to various temples to conduct the Bonalu festival on a grand scale. Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao has offered Rs 75 cr to the temples to conduct the festivities. The funds were given to the temples before the Bonalu festival began, he said.

The minister instructed the officials concerned to provide better facilities at the temples and ensure hassle free darshan to the devotees.

The funds can be used to develop the temples with all facilities and infrastructure, the minister said.

The minister later visited the Yellamma Temple at Balkampet in Ameerpet. The festivities will be held with all facilities. The devotees get better darshan who throng in more numbers. Following corona protocols and providing all facilities. We pray to the goddess to end the corona virus and other diseases and bless the people to live in a healthy manner.
The officials were asked to conduct the celebrations at the temple, he said. (Maxim News)
