Hyderabad, Nov.10 (Maxim News): Education Minister P Sabitha Indra Reddy today exhorted the RTC employees to join duties by calling off their strike.
The RTC employees staged a protest at her program in Yalal near Tandur in Vikarabad district demanding that the State government to hold talks with them. The minister faced ire of the RTC workers while participating in some developmental programs in the district.
The minister urged the protestors to call off the strike and join duties and discuss their demands later. The RTC workers argued with the minister for government’s failure to call them for talks on their demands. They said Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao did not call them for ending the mnth-long strike and protests.
Responding to this, Sabitha said the Chief Minister, whose word is final, has already appealed to striking workers repeatedly to join duties and then talk on their demands. Sabitha tried to pacify them to join duties first and then sit across the table to discuss about their demands. (Maxim News)
