Sacking RTC crew unjust; Pawan Urges KCR

Gannavaram, Oct.7 (Maxim News): Janasena Party president Pawan Kalyan today expressed concern over the reports that the State government was planning to sack thousands of Telangana RTC employees, who were agitating to press their demand of merger of TSRTC with the Government.

The State government proposed to remove all the RTC employees except 1,200 out of 48,660 employees. The Janasena Party observed that the government should understand the issues of the striking employees and try to resolve their demands, but should not take extreme decisions. “We must recollect the sacrifices made by RTC employees, who had agitated for 17-long days as part of Sakala Janula Samme and extended their support during the Telangana movement. I appeal to the Government as well as the TSRTC unions to maintain restraint and resolve the issue amicably by discussions.

“We have seen many issues, which are settled with mutual understanding and talks in a peaceful atmosphere. It is the responsibility of both the Government and the unions to prevent hardships to the common people. I request Chief Minister K Chandrashekhar Rao to show restraint towards the RTC employees and resolve the employees’ agitation amicably in a peaceful manner. (Maxim News)
