Hyderabad, Sept. 12: Sandhyala Haimavati from Kothagudem received her doctorate from Osmania University for her research in chemistry.
Haimavati was awarded the degree during the university’s 85th convocation at the OU Tagore Auditorium.
Telangana Governor and Osmania University Chancellor Sivaprasad Shukla presented the doctorate to Haimavati.
Her research focused on “Docking Studies and Tetrazole Derivatives” in the Department of Chemistry.
Sandhyala Haimavati Earns Doctorate Despite Challenges
Haimavati is the daughter of Sandhyala Komaraiah and Shankaramma from Madura Basti in Kothagudem.
Her father worked as a labourer in Singareni, according to the report.
Haimavati pursued higher education despite her family’s financial difficulties.
Her family members expressed happiness over her achievement and congratulated her on earning the doctorate.
She completed the research under the supervision of Dr Alia.
The achievement highlights Haimavati’s academic progress and success in higher education.
