Riyadh, Sept. 28: Saudi Arabia’s Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has launched a Comprehensive Package for international pilgrims ahead of the 1448 AH/2027 Hajj season, bringing key pilgrimage services under a single electronic contract.
The package is designed for pilgrims arriving through international Hajj affairs offices and authorised agencies. It covers the main services required during the Hajj journey, from arrival through departure.
The four core services include services at the holy sites, accommodation and hospitality facilities in Makkah and Madinah, transportation and catering.
Contracting will be completed electronically through the Electronic Path platform using a single application. The system is intended to simplify procedures and improve transparency in agreements between Hajj affairs offices, international Hajj agencies and service providers.
The ministry said the digital system will provide a clear contractual framework for international agencies while making it easier to organise services for different groups of pilgrims.
Saudi Arabia Agencies Can Add Optional Hajj Services
The new package also allows Hajj agencies to add optional enrichment services. Agencies can design programmes based on the preferences and requirements of different groups of international pilgrims.
The ministry said the initiative forms part of its early preparations for the 1448 AH Hajj season. It is also aligned with Saudi Arabia’s Vision 2030 and the Pilgrim Experience Program, which aims to improve services and the overall experience for pilgrims.
The announcement is part of Saudi Arabia’s wider move towards digitalising Hajj-related procedures. The official Nusuk Hajj platform provides eligible international pilgrims with access to authorised service providers and Hajj packages in supported countries.
Saudi Arabia Also Released Hajj 2027 Dates
Hajj 2027 is expected to take place from May 14 to May 19, 2027, corresponding approximately to 8–13 Dhul Hijjah 1448 AH. The Day of Arafah is expected to fall on May 15, 2027.
However, the final dates remain subject to the official sighting of the crescent moon. The Islamic calendar follows a lunar cycle, so the Gregorian dates can vary depending on the official determination of the beginning of Dhul Hijjah.
The new comprehensive package is expected to give international Hajj operators greater flexibility in arranging services while providing a more streamlined electronic contracting process ahead of the 2027 pilgrimage season.
