Seasonal Diseases Surge In The Rainy Season

Hyderabad, July 24 (Maxim News):  It has been raining nonstop for five or six days across the state of Telangana.  due to the heavy rains in many districts, people are unable to step out of their homes.  Those who go out on any work are facing severe problems due to standing water and damaged roads.

Seasonal fevers are also on the rise due to these rains.  The number of people who are approaching hospitals with symptoms like cold, cough, and fever is increasing day by day in hospitals across Telangana including Hyderabad.  Due to incessant rains, water is stagnant everywhere.  In unhygienic environments, mosquitoes are increasing.  In this context, Hyderabad Fever Hospital Superintendent Shankar has given many advice and instructions to avoid getting sick and prevent the spread of diseases.

Fever Hospital superintendent Shankar said that seasonal diseases have already started during the rainy season.  The number of outpatients in hospitals is increasing and all people are advised to be careful.  It is said that diseases like dengue, malaria, and typhoid are very easy to come from during the rainy season.

He warned that dengue cases are likely to increase, especially through mosquitoes.  He said that everyone should be alert when there is a chance of coming into contact with drinking water and contaminated water.  it is advised to drink boiled and cooled water and eat hot food only.  We are told to keep the surroundings of the house where we live clean.

If there is water in coconut shells, empty bunds, chicken egg shells, plant pots, waste tires, and coolers used in summer, there is a possibility of breeding mosquitoes and dengue.  Sewage and stagnant water contribute to the spread of malaria and filariasis.  The surrounding areas should be kept clean as the situation may worsen during monsoons.  Health personnel suggest that water storage vessels, coolers, and drums of homes should be emptied and cleaned.
