Sets On Fire: Woman Burns Boyfriend’s Wife

Hyderabad: A brutal crime in Nalgonda district shocked residents after a woman allegedly set her boyfriend’s wife on fire by dousing her with petrol. The incident took place in Kethepalli village in Nampally mandal. According to the available information, the victim was the mother of a toddler and was nursing the child at the time of the attack. The incident occurred on Saturday and resulted in the woman’s death on the spot.

The case unfolded around a man named Nagesh Yadav, a resident of the village. Reports stated that he was having an extramarital affair with a woman named Meesala Sujatha. Over time, tensions reportedly increased between the two. In this sequence of events, Sujatha allegedly pressured Nagesh to marry one of her two daughters. However, Nagesh made it clear that he could not marry her, as he already had a wife and a child.

Meanwhile, Sujatha became angry after Nagesh refused her demand. Later, she reportedly went to Nagesh’s house in Kethepalli village. According to reports, she poured petrol on Nagesh’s wife Mamatha while the woman was nursing the baby. She then set her on fire. The sudden attack left no chance for escape.

As the fire broke out, Mamata reportedly threw the child away in an attempt to save the toddler. However, she lost her life on the spot due to severe burns. The toddler sustained serious injuries and is said to be struggling between life and death. The condition of the child remains critical, according to the information provided.

Following the incident, panic spread across the village. Neighbours rushed to the spot after noticing the flames and chaos. However, the attack had already caused fatal damage. Meanwhile, police were alerted about the incident and began preliminary inquiries at the scene.

Later, it was reported that the accused surrendered at the Nampally police station after the incident. Police registered a case and took the accused into custody for further investigation. The authorities are examining the sequence of events that led to the crime and are recording statements from those connected to the case.

The sets on fire incident has caused outrage and grief in the area. Residents expressed shock over the violent act that stemmed from an extramarital dispute. The investigation continues as police work to establish all details linked to the petrol attack in Nalgonda district.
