Meeting Sparks Political Speculation

The meeting comes amid discussions over the proposed Constituency Delimitation Bill, which the Centre is expected to pursue during the Monsoon Session of Parliament.

Following the meeting, political observers speculated about the possibility of the NCP extending support to the NDA on the proposed legislation. However, neither the Prime Minister’s Office nor the NCP issued any official statement linking the meeting to the Bill or to any political alliance.

The NCP had earlier stated that it would support the Delimitation Bill if the Centre provided a written assurance regarding an increase in parliamentary seats.

The meeting has also fuelled speculation in political circles about the future relationship between the NCP and the NDA. However, no official announcement has been made by either side regarding any alliance or change in political stance.
