Coming to the rescue of a young farmer, who died on last Sunday as lighting struck on him, the District administration Siddipet has given Rs 6 lakh exgratia to the wife of the farmer.
Dubbak, MLA, Solipeta Ramalinga Reddy, who spoke to Finance Minister, T Harish Rao and Collector, Siddipet, P Venkatrami Reddy got the check issued immediately. The farmer Matta Butchi Reddy (34), a native of Chellapur of Dubbak Mandal, went to his field on Sunday to see his cattle when the area witnessing a spell of heavy rain. Reddy died on the spot as lightning struck on him. He was survived by his wife Rekha, two children aged three and five-year-old respectively.
