SIT Has Taken Four Accused Into Custody In The TSPSC Paper Leak Case

SIT | Hyderabad, March 26 (Maxim News): The SIT which is investigating the TSPSC paper leak case has taken the four accused into custody.

Accused Praveen, Rajasekhar, Dakya Naik, and Rajeshwar have been shifted from Chanchalguda jail to the SIT office and are being interrogated.

The accused will remain in SIT custody till March 28. SIT has already interrogated them for six days.

The Nampally Court adjourned the custody petition of Shamim, Ramesh, and Suresh accused in the same case to March 27.

The SIT is interrogating the public representatives who have previously received notices in this case.

The SIT, which has already interrogated PCC Chief Revanth Reddy, has issued two notices to BJP Telangana State President Bandi Sanjay. But instead of Bandi Sanjay, his legal team attended the SIT hearing to give an explanation.

SIT is also questioning a few more candidates who qualified in Group-1. The details of some who have already qualified have been collected and inquired about over the phone.

Candidates who have scored more than 100 marks will be notified and an explanation will be sought from them.

Meanwhile, the SIT also named Shankara Laxmi, a TSPSC confidential section officer whose computer was compromised by the gang to steal the question paper, as one of the 19 witnesses in the case, according to the ‘remand case diary’ filed by the SIT in the court of XII Additional Chief Metropolitan Magistrate, Nampally.

The SIT has so far arrested 12 people in the case, including the prime accused Pulidindi Praveen Kumar, an assistant section officer at the TSPSC. He teamed up with Raja Shekar Reddy to steal the confidential documents. Reddy sold the papers to Renuka and her husband Lavdyavath Dhakya.

The officers said they were investigating the allegations of more suspects involved in scoring over 100 marks in the Group 1 preliminary examination held on October 16, 2022.

Four of the 12 arrested are TSPSC employees. The others work in different government services. (Maxim News)
