Hyderabad: Actor-philanthropist Sonu Sood continues to work relentlessly in helping the needy. The actor has placed orders for oxygen plants from the US and France. These plants will be installed at hospitals in different states, and the first two plants will be set up in Kurnool and Nellore.

Sonu Sood and his team are now in the process of setting up an oxygen plant at Kurnool Government Hospital followed by setting up the next one in Nellore. He had already acquired the necessary permissions from Municipal Commissioner, District Collector, and the other authorities for setting up the plants.

This plant is sure to help thousands of people living in Kurnool, Nellore and the neighbouring villages by providing oxygen to them during these desperate times.

Talking on the plant at Kurnool Government Hospital, the District Collector S Ramsundar Reddy said, “We are really thankful to Sonu Sood for his humanitarian gesture. The oxygen plant arranged by him will help in treating 150 to 200 Covid patients at Kurnool Government Hospital every day.”

Adding to that, Sonu Sood said, “This is the need of the hour to improve the health care especially in the rural areas. I feel these plants will help the needy people to fight Covid-19.

After Andhra Pradesh, we will be setting up a few more plants in a few other states between June and July. Right now, we are identifying the needy hospitals of various states.”

These oxygen plants at Kurnool and Nellore will be operational from June.
