State Govt Neglecting Farmers: Sampath Kumar

Hyderabad, Sept.24 (Maxim News): AICC Secretary SA Sampath Kumar on Tuesday alleged that the state government was neglecting the farmers of the state despite bountiful rains in the state. He also alleged that not even 50 percent of the total farmers got money under the state government’s Rythu Bandhu scheme.

He said that of the total Rs. 6000 crore meant for the scheme, 70 percent of the funds had not been released so far. Speaking to media persons, he said that 56.80 lakh farmers were waiting for the Rythu Bandhu money and added that 90,000 farmers from his constituency were also waiting for the same.

He said that the state Government would have to waive off loans of 30.18 lakh farmers and added that the scheme was not yet implemented in the state. He said that the state government didn’t give seeds and fertilisers to even a farmer in the state. He said that the farmers of the state were dying due to the negligence of the state government.

Commenting on the Huzurnagar by-elections, he said that the congress party would win with a massive majority in the constituency.
