Students Are in Depression due to Lack Facilities in Basara: Governor

Hyderabad, Aug.7 (Maxim News): Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan on Sunday visited Rajiv Gandhi University of Knowledge and Technologies (RGUKT) at Basara and called on students who have been on an agitational path for the past two months.

Speaking on the occasion, the Governor said the students were in depression due to a lack of facilities and the maintenance of the hostel mess was in a very poor state.

Tamilisai reached Basara early in the morning by train from Secunderabad and directly drove to the famous Saraswati temple. She offered prayers to the presiding deity Goddess Saraswati and took blessings from priests. Later, she visited the RGUKT campus and inspected facilities provided by the government. Tamilisai also moved around hostel rooms and mess and enquired about the problems by interacting with students.

She pointed out that there was no adequate teaching staff on the campus and the laptops have not been given to students since 2017.

On the occasion, Tamilisai Soundararajan assured the students that she would take their problems to the notice of the State government and could resolve the problems as early as possible.

“Whatever problems prevailed on the campus can be resolved easily,” she said.

The Governor also appealed to students not to neglect their education and focus should be continued despite having problems on campus. (Maxim News)
