Hyderabad, Feb 22 (Maxim News): Former minister and Siddipet MLA Harish Rao has asked Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageswara Rao on Twitter to help sunflower farmers. This year the support price for sunflower is Rs. 6,760 per quintal, while farmers are selling at less than Rs. 5,000.

Farmers expressed concern that they are losing Rs. 2 thousand per quintal due to lack of support price. He recalled that in the past, the BR’s government had paid the support price and bought it. They want to support the farmers by setting up purchase centers like in the past and buying at the support price. (Maxim News)
