Telangana Budget Session Begins With Governor Address

Telangana Budget Session | Hyderabad, March 16: The Telangana Assembly budget session began on Monday with a formal address by Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla.

Chief Minister Revanth Reddy received the Governor at the Assembly.

Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka also attended the reception. Speaker Gaddam Prasad Kumar and Legislative Council Chairman Gutta Sukhender Reddy joined the welcome. Ministers also took part in the ceremony.

The Governor unveiled a newly installed Telangana Talli statue in the Assembly premises. Later, police presented a Guard of Honour before he entered the House. The session then began after the national anthem.

Telangana Budget Session Governor Speech Highlights

Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla began his speech in Telugu. His opening remarks drew attention from members. He greeted the people of Telangana and praised their peaceful and hardworking nature.

Governor said the annual budget will focus on inclusive development. He also said every citizen should become a partner in growth. Moreover, he said the government remains committed to welfare for all sections.

He said the government follows a people centric governance model. Therefore, he stressed that development benefits should reach every group. He also highlighted the state growth agenda.

Vision Plans And Musi River Rejuvenation

The Governor said Telangana is moving towards the goal of Telangana Rising 2047. He said the state contributes 4.99 percent to the national GDP. He also said reforms improved ease of doing business.

Governor Shukla said the government decided to shift industries beyond the Outer Ring Road. Meanwhile, he said the government is preparing plans for Musi river rejuvenation. He said authorities will set up 45 sewage treatment plants.

Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla also said the Vision 2047 plan outlines a roadmap for a three trillion dollar economy. The Governor said the government aims to achieve long term economic growth.

The budget session is expected to include discussions on development and welfare. The government is likely to present its financial plans during the session.
