The Advisor flagged off buses carrying pilgrims to Rajiv Gandhi International Airport for their onward journey to Saudi Arabia.
He said the additional airfare was introduced by the Haj Committee of India due to the prevailing situation in West Asia. However, the Chief Minister’s intervention provided relief to nearly 7,000 Haj pilgrims from Telangana.

Syed Ghulam Afzal Biabani, Haj Committee members, religious scholars, volunteers and officials attended the programme.
Shabbir Ali informed that nearly 4,000 pilgrims from Telangana had already reached Mecca and arrangements were continuing for the remaining pilgrims.
He advised pilgrims to maintain discipline, stay patient during travel procedures and focus on worship during the pilgrimage.
The Advisor also urged pilgrims to take precautions due to hot weather conditions and asked them to stay hydrated and follow medical advice.
He appealed to the pilgrims to pray for peace, prosperity and development of the country and Telangana during their stay in Mecca and Medina.
