Hyderabad, Sept. 10: Telangana has raised the maximum age limit for police constable recruitment by three years.
The relaxation covers constable and equivalent posts in the Police, Fire Services, Prisons and Special Protection Force departments.
Candidates now get a total age relaxation of 10 years, including the earlier seven year extension.
Telangana Police Recruitment Age Limit Raised to 37
The minimum age for constable posts remains 18 years. The maximum age has increased from 34 to 37 years.
The revised limit brings constable recruitment in line with the existing age limit for Sub Inspector posts.
The Telangana State Level Police Recruitment Board has also extended the online application deadline.
Candidates can now submit applications until September 16. The previous deadline was September 9.
Officials advised applicants to check the revised age rules before completing their applications.
