Hyderabad, Sept. 10: Telangana Finance Minister Bhatti Vikramarka announced a Rs 1 crore insurance scheme for government employees and pensioners.
He said the scheme will provide financial security without placing any financial burden on beneficiaries.
A total of 12,91,056 employees and pensioners will benefit from the scheme.
Rs 1 Crore Insurance Scheme Covers Over 12 Lakh Beneficiaries
The coverage includes 5,18,293 regular employees.
It also covers 5,00,158 contract, outsourcing and temporary employees.
Additionally, 2,72,600 pensioners and family pensioners will receive coverage.
Bhatti Vikramarka said the initiative marks a major step towards strengthening financial security for public sector workers and pensioners across Telangana.
