Although students returned, the schools reported thin attendance as reopening coincided with Amavasya (no moon day), which traditionally considered inauspicious day for any new beginning.

Meanwhile, after depriving students of their first meal in the schools for two academic years, the Telangana Congress government on Monday relaunched the breakfast scheme and introduced milk scheme in select government and local body schools in the State.Telangana Property Listings

A total of 68,73,019 students enrolled in 39,789 schools during the academic year 2025-26. Of the total, 16,80,910 students enrolled in 24,219 government and local body schools, and 43,58,729 students admitted in 11,832 private unaided schools. (Maxim News)
