Telangana Secretariat posters  | Hyderabad, June 15: Posters opposing government welfare schemes appeared near the Telangana Secretariat on Sunday night, triggering a security alert.

Unknown posters surfaced on walls near the Secretariat Media Centre. The posters called for jobs and housing for poor families instead of free welfare benefits. They urged the government to focus on employment and housing opportunities.

Security personnel noticed the posters during routine monitoring. Since the Secretariat is a high security zone, officials reacted immediately. The incident caused concern among security agencies.

Special Protection Force (SPF) personnel launched an inquiry soon after finding the posters. During the investigation, they detained Ramya, a resident of Jagtial district.

Ramya reportedly told officials that she pasted the posters during the previous night. She said she acted on her own and carried out the protest to express her views on government welfare schemes.

According to police sources, she questioned the need for free schemes and argued that the government should give greater priority to jobs and housing for poor citizens.

SPF personnel questioned her and later handed her over to Saifabad Police for further action.

Police registered a case and started an investigation. Officers are examining how she entered the area and pasted the posters near the Secretariat. They are also checking whether anyone else helped her.

Authorities have begun reviewing CCTV footage and security arrangements around the Secretariat. Officials want to know how the posters appeared in a highly secured area without attracting attention.
