Hyderabad, July 20: The digitization of Enumeration Forms (EFs) under the Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the electoral rolls is progressing slowly in Telangana, with urban districts, including Greater Hyderabad, falling behind the state average.
Although the distribution of Enumeration Forms has been completed across the state, online data entry remains sluggish. According to the State Chief Electoral Officer (CEO) office, 2,19,23,435 Enumeration Forms, or 64.81 percent, had been digitized as of Sunday evening.
Among the districts in the Greater Hyderabad region, Medchal Malkajgiri recorded the lowest progress, with only 37.30 percent of Enumeration Forms digitized. Hyderabad district achieved 39.59 percent, while Rangareddy district completed 48.52 percent.
In contrast, several rural districts have recorded significantly better progress. Yadadri Bhuvanagiri leads the state with 88.43 percent digitization, followed by Siddipet at 83.55 percent, Nalgonda at 82.74 percent, and Komaram Bheem Asifabad at 81.63 percent.
According to official figures:
- Total voters in Telangana: 3,38,26,448
- Enumeration Forms distributed: 3,38,26,448 (100 percent)
- Enumeration Forms digitized: 2,19,23,435 (64.81 percent)
Election officials are continuing the digitization process across the state to complete the Special Intensive Revision of the electoral rolls.
